Magic Monkey was selected by the City of Lommel in Belgium and its tourism organization, Toerisme Lommel, to integrate the exceptional architecture of their new glass museum (Het Glazen Huis, Vlaams Centrum voor Hedendaagse Glaskunst) with an original, dynamic and low-power consumption lighting system. Magic Monkey was delighted to collaborate with Samyn and Partners, the architects and engineers of the Glass Museum. The extraordinary geometry of the 30 meter building comes alive every morning and evening with a multitude of different animations programmed according to seasonal changes and events.
MM was responsible for the design, in close collaboration with Samyn and Partners, the installation, the content creation and the on-going maintenance.
